Abstract
Treatise on the unction of kings (Traitě du sacre) written for Charles V in second half of 14th century by Carmelite Jean Golein, is one of the most remarkable texts about the symbolism and meaning of the unction and coronation of French kings. The chapter offers the first complete Czech translation and commentary.
