Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Previously, it was proven that some antidiabetics can even increase cardiovascular risk.
Therefore, new antidiabetic drugs should not only reduce glycemia, but also present cardiovascular safety or even protection. The manuscript describes cardiovascular risk of individual antidiabetics.
