The study analyzes current tendencies in understanding the relationship between theology and spirituality. Spirituality offers a map of the experience of transcendence and is at the same time represents the role Jungian's anima at the heart of theological rationality.
Theology can then deepen the experience of transcendence because it offers a language for expressing and sharing the experience of transcendence in the grammar of a particular religious tradition and the inclusion of particular experience in the coordinates of the overall sense.
