Abstract
The chapter summarizes teaching method of the auxiliary sciences at the Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences of the Archival Studies from the second half of the 19th century to the 1960s. It is based on the contribution presented at the conference "Auxiliary Historical Sciences in Contemporary Historiography and Archives", which was held on the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the foundation of diplomacy, numismatics, heraldry and antiquities, the first department of auxiliary sciences of history at the university and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the department Auxiliary Historical and Archival Sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University.
