The National Colorectal Cancer Screening Program in the Czech Republic was modified in 2014 to a population screening program by the introduction of a direct invitations. As part of the population screening program in the Czech Republic, only individuals who have not participated in the screening program for a long time, which is a variant of the population screening program in Europe, where each individual of the target population is identified and individually invited to screening the KRK, is actively invited to screen.
Although there is no direct evidence of screening effectiveness for KRK epidemiological data, indirect screening effectiveness indicators are available using micro-simulation epidemiological models.
