Abstract
Mother Maria Skobtsova represents an encounter of the religious tradition with modernity. In this article I will show that she provides us good example, how to find the middle way between the two reaction to the encounter: fundamentalism and liberalism (relativism) in its extremes.
I will show that especially in her theologial anthropology she found the moderate way between the extreme forms of the reactions.
