Abstract

The article outlines various forms and functions of "writing about writing" in the private correspondence of Karel Havlíček. The thematization of writing includes, among others, the reflection of the act of writing and of the mutual exchange of letters, requests for communication from the addresssee, and remarks on the choice of language and language means.
