Abstract
The Czech Sokol (Falcon) Organisation is the oldest gymnastics institution in the Czech Republic and also one of the oldest sport organizations still operating in Europe and the world. The first Sokol Festival as mass sport performance took place in 1882 on the 20th anniversary of Sokol's establishment in 1862.
All- Sokol Slets are not "just" a show of gymnastics mass performances with various cultural and social events, sport contents, and shows, stage performances and a number of educational events also taking place. 2018 was no different. Representatives of three continents (Europe, America and Australia) have taken part in this movement celebration.
The 16th All-Sokol event (Slet) took place in Prague, Czech Republic from 1.to 6.7.2018, at various venues across the Capital with sport and cultural performances from all regions of the Czech Republic - chosen on several stages.15 000 participants from the Czech Republic and other 11 countries performed on two days extraordinary Amateur Mass exercises at the Eden Arena under the applause of 20 500 spectators (2 259 000 fans watched it on TV, 51 000 spectators were in streets during the whole programme).
