Quantified Self: Information-seeking behaviour research

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2018

Abstract

Information Science provides an appropriate framework for conducting quantified self research on individuals' information-seeking behaviour that originally uses the digital humanities approach and does not lose sight of humans, and as such brings not only information about the inner state of the individual, but also broader contexts and relationships to the society. The interdisciplinary approach is suitably complemented by data mining.

Feedback is so natural to the human organism that we often do not realize it, but instead of the biofeedback of our own body, outsourced feedback from device or application is preferred - self-measurement becomes a new standard.
