Abstract
Gender issues have become a long-term interest not only for the European Union, but equal opportunities for men and women belong among its basics principles. Czech Republic has undertaken to carry out, inter alia, to gender budgeting.
This does not denote the need to constitute separate budgets for men and women, nor is it intended purpose to achieve a particular share of the targeted expenditure at the one gender group, but to transform the financial and budgetary policies so as to achieve equal access for women and men to the different society's life areas.
