The current security situation in the world and especially in Europe confronts the countries with new challenges regarding the protection and security of their citizens. The civil society, as well as religious communities, should be involved in the fight against all forms of violence and terrorism.
The main motive of all such efforts should be respect for, and the protection of, human beings. Many countries not historically exposed to terrorism are now facing actual terrorist threats and must deal with them.
The article written by two authors - Professor Josef Dolista and Dr. Pavla Damohorská - considers some aspects of such situation from the perspective of the civil society and some religious societies.
