The journalistic work of Jiří Weil: a report (not only) about Soviet Russia. Weil's articles in Tvorba and Literární noviny

Abstract

The paper focuses on Jiří Weil's journalistic work in the 1920s and 1930s. In his articles, Weil very intensely informed about the cultural scene in Soviet Russia and introduced the Czechoslovak audience to Russian Soviet literature.

The paper analyzes selected articles published in Literární noviny and in the Communist weekly Tvorba.
