Publication at Faculty of Law |
2018

Abstract

Various legal aspects may be pointed out in non-legal ancient sources. We can, as an example, analyse the work of Titus Livius Ab Urbe condita from this point of view, in particular the episode about unsuccessful conspiracy against newly established Roman republic which occured soon after the expulsion of the kings.

Roman law institutions of the public and private law to be found in the above-mentioned work will be presented in the paper, as the introduction of the principles of the functioning of the magistracies or manumission with the rod.
