P. Samuel Fritz, S.J.: the context of his journey from Bohemia toward the missions

Abstract

The paper dedicated to the homage of F. Samuel Fritz, S.J. (1654 -1725), native of Bohemia, aimed to approximate the context of the overseas missons sent from the Bohemian Province of the Society of Jesus during the 17th and 18th century particularly to South America.

Apart from the protagonist, concerned to his numerous companions and successors less known till now. The cartography and other disciplines represented another goal of the presentation.
