Abstract

Project deals with analysis of biology lessons at lower secondary school focused at professional vision and reflection of teachers. The goal of this project is to provide feedback for teachers and evaluate its effect.

Project has two main steps. The first step is about summarizing and researching available documentation about this topic, the second step starts with collection of data whose evaluation will be the most important part of dissertation thesis.

During the lessons teachers are monitored and recorded on video-tapes. The records are then supplemented by teacher's comments and by experience what they have learned by replaying the video-tapes.

The record will be used for creation of database of lessons. Teacher's experience and self-reflection with and without using recording are compared to evaluate the benefit of this method.

The selected teachers will be also interviewed with and without project supervisor/sermonizer. Both types of interviews are then compared to get influence and benefit of the sermonizer's presence.

Finally we will setup the level of teacher's ability to change and improve the way of teaching. The research will mainly focus on specific phenomena of biology teaching at lower secondary school.
