The study deals with the comparison of education systems in selected countries of the European Union. The main emphasis is put on the comparison of the most important structural elements, which are a prerequisite for a functional system of adult education (legislation, funding, providers and target groups).
However, it is necessary to point out that due to the constant development of the society, their members have high demands on their flexibility, but also on the level of their education, which has become an essential part of it. The quality education of individuals thus enables not only a large number of diverse information and the arts to work with them, but also to be competitive in the current market conditions in the labor market.
