The paper introduced TAČR (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic) research project "Key literacy skills of primary school pupils" aiming to realize a standardization study in order to derive norms for diagnostic tools of literacy skills with an emphasis on reading comprehension. The assessment tools were originally designed in the project "Reading comprehension - typical development and its risks" and now the instruments will be standardized.
They are needed in practice, both in schools and in counselling facilities. School and counselling professionals working with children with literacy difficulties will be the users of the results.
At the time of inclusive education, it is one of the most important topics.
