The model of the positive column in argon-oxygen DC glow discharge under pressure of several hundreds of pascal is presented in our contribution. The model allows us to investigate properties of the positive column with low concentration of oxygen admixture in argon discharge.
Our one-dimensional continuous model is built on the mean-electron-energy approximation of electron collisions and the drift-diffusion approximation of particle fluxes. The results of the model are compared with the measurements of electric field at discharge current 10 mA, pressure 410 Pa and 5 % of oxygen concentration.
It brings us detailed information about proceeding processes in positive column.
