Students' evidence about literature at secondary schools

Abstract

The article brings together personal experience of the newcomer students from Pedagogical Fakulty of Charles University. They report their experience with teaching literature at secondary schools and often feel disilusioned whit it.

In their opinion, teaching literature is methodologically conservative. It also does not reflect changing role of literature in contemporary society.

Such situation of teaching literature is a major challenge for teacher training at universites.
