Abstract
Prefixation is one of the basic word formation means in Czech. Especially for verbs, it is a very productive way, which can modify their meaning and aspect.
In the present contribution we show how the corpus data can be used to analyze multiple prefixes occurring in Czech verbs. In the second part, we deal with the prefixes used to modify the loan verbs coming from foreign languages.
