The 9th Congress of European Research in Mathematics Education (CERME 9) took place in Prague (Czech Republic), 4-8 February 2015. The CERME Conferences are organized each second year by the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (ERME), an affiliate organization of ICMI since 2010.
Like at earlier CERMEs, a community called Young European Researchers in Mathematics Education (YERME) organized a YERME day (3-4 February 2015), preceding CERME 9. Another important feature of ERME supporting researchers entering the field is the YERME Summer School (YESS), which takes places in even years.
All these activities including CERME conferences have a communicative, cooperative and collaborative nature. Thus, in contrast to most other conferences, CERMEs are organized as working conferences.
They are "European" per definition, however, colleagues from all parts of the world are welcome: we are happy to learn from them, and of course it is great when European research in mathematics education becomes better known and used abroad.
