Abstract
The article is focused on the issue of editions of texts written in German and describes the specifics of professional work on editions of German-written sources. A key part of the paper comprises a summary of the basic methodological procedures for such editions, with an eye to making German-written texts available to academic circles and the efficiency of practical utilisation of edited sources in the historian's work.
