In the theoretical chapter of the collective monograph were presented the results of the research study what strategies are used in some other countries of the world and how unbound font pattern is perceived there. The topic studied was embedded in the reality of the educational system of the Czech Republic and the main objectives of the research study were presented.
Then the most academic chapter follows, in which have been explained the main styles of penmanship within their respective historical contexts and was add some data on the usage of various scripts in some countries of the EU and Canada. Were reported to some of the academic branches that focus on the evolution of writing.
There is, of course, a comprehensive description of Comenia Script itself, including the history of its foundation, how it was authorized for use in elementary schools in the Czech Republic, and its reception by the school institutions that started using it and what the pupils' parents' reactions regarding this innovation were. The development of handwriting belongs among the basic skills that pupils acquire during their time at school and are the gateway to the other steps of education.
That is why the question of the diagnosis of pupils' written expression has not been omitted. The workers in school counselling systems evaluate this set of developing skills and the diagnosis of specific problems in writing is one of the common issues leading to the classification of a specific disorder.
This can, of course, also apply to pupils using Comenia Script. These workers should also explore the depths of the new font and be aware of its development and the problematic factors that it brings into the equation.
