Abstract
The lexicon entry describes the life and work of German writer Michael Ende, the world's most famous author of German written fantasy for childern and young adults (Momo oder Die seltsame Geschichte von den Zeit-Dieben und von dem Kind, das den Mensch die gestohle Zeit zurückbrachte; Die Unendliche Geschichte). Characteristic features of his literary work are the elements of Surrealism, Imagination and Social Critique of present-days and the search for anwers on basic philosophical questions.
A special attention is paid to the multi-directional addressing of the author's works.
