Abstract

Czech deputies were not satisfied with electoral arrangement for the Bohemian Diet, which was connected with the Schmerling's forced constitution from 26 February 1861. They were also not able to change it, because they were not politically so strong to do it.

On other hand; the economic preformance and cultural level of Czech civic voters rose between 1860 - 1883 to such an extent that they were in the end capable to win majority in this parliamentary institution together with Czech conservative aristocrats.
