Abstract

Sociomapping was created in 1994-1996 by doc. Bahbouh from Charles University togetherwith colleagues from Czech Academy of Sciences as a method for visualisation of team communication.

Now there is a need to explore possibilities of further utilisation of this tool, especially to what measure it can help not only to improve communication in teams, but also to increase their performance. And also to what extent these changes in performance will be reflected in the map.

So this research project should show, what changes in company sales teams can be seen in a sociomap after diverse interventions: just after some time, after seeing the map with a time delay, without any action plan, following an application team workshop based on sociomapping results and after training in team cooperation and communication. Measuring the progress by sociomap is compared with outcomes from other measuring tools like Tuckman questionnaire, interviews with team members and achieved team performance indicators.

The article discusses planned research design including its goals, research questions, sample, hypotheses and proposed methodology and comments topical status of the work.
