Abstract
This is a biographical text about the Czech émigré, previously an elusive transporter of people and information from totalitarian Czechoslovakia as well as an escaped political prisoner. The article is comprised of the author's interviews with Josef Hasil himself, including the last historical recordings and memories of the oldest Czech speaking member of the Czech Catholic Mission in Brookfield, Illinos.
