In the work of great classics of french existential philosophy we can observe a motive of personification of ideal human approach to life into forms of concrete antique mythological heroes. The main goal of this lecture is to present in whole-like form and characterize this typology with regards to which antique heroes are being used by the selected thinkers of 20th century, why they select precisely these figures, what they represent, what the chosen mythological archetypes share and what on the contrary distinguishes them.
Apart from the formulation of basic differences between philosophical conceptions the lecture will provide a basic outlook on philosophically and literally exceptionally productive era of France in the first half of 20th century.
