The author's analytical tool for the comprehensive measurement of environmental literacy of the 2nd grade of primary school pupils, respectively. Cognitive, Affective and Conative Dimension is a quantitative questionnaire based on standard foreign instruments based on their verification by the author in the Czech Republic.
Various primary schools and high school took part in the survey focused on the analysis of psychometric parameters of the instrument in the Czech Republic. The total number of respondents was 467.
Data collection took place in the autumn of 2018. Content validity was discussed with environmental education specialists and applied tools successfully verified.
Internal consistency of individual dimensions and construct validity using exploratory factor analysis was investigated. Relationships between dimensions of environmental literacy through correlation analysis were also monitored.
Reliability of all sub-scales of instruments, which correspond to individual dimensions (environmental knowledge; attitudes and sensitivity; behavior), reached acceptable values in the range of 0.7 - 0.8. Subsequent comparative analysis of data from the Czech Republic and Poland provided similar results.
The validity of the tool can be considered proven based on the results presented and due to the successful application of the original tools in many researches. Therefore, the author's analytical tool can be considered applicable for measuring the environmental literacy of primary school pupils in the Czech Republic and Poland.
