Celiac disease is an autoimunne reaction to gluten with variable symptoms in genetically susceptible individuals. In the Czech pediatric population, the prevalence of celiac disease is 1:200-1:250.
Our report presents a case of a rare celiac crisis with profuse diarrhoea, edema, hypoproteinemia, severe hypomagnesemia, hypocalcemia and hyperoxaluria in 16-month-old girl.
