In 2018, Czechia and Slovakia commemorate the 100th anniversary of foundation of the common state. Since then, our society has gone through many better and worse, in many cases, turbulent moments.
This is also related to the equally complicated development of regionalization of the state and lower levels of public administration. That is why the Ministry of the Interior together with the Research Center of Historical Geography (project of the Czech Science Foundation of the Institute of History of the Czecha Academy of Sciences and historical geographers from the Faculty of Science, Charles University) joined these celebrations with an exhibition of 100 years of borders changes of our regions and an eponymous conference on 17 October 2018 focused on the historical, present and future development of the territorial-administrative division of the state.
