Abstract
This report summarizes cratering mechanism exemplified by Ries but also Steinheim craters, that were most likely part of the binary object before impact. Report presents summary of geologic stratigraphy, that contains many important index fossil, that served as a substrate for the impact of the binary object forming Ries and Stenheim structures.
