Abstract
The purpose of this Recommended Procedure is to regulate "genetic (pseudo)screening/genetic examinations" (with the exception of institutionalized newborn screening (4) according to the MZČR Bulletin 6/2009), and thus to support proper, medically supported, genetic laboratory diagnostics within the framework of section 816 with relevant and positive impacts for the patient (and his family), including savings on public health insurance. The main goal of this Recommendation is therefore the limitation of scientifically unsubstantiated indications for genetic laboratory examination of the germ genome, which take place outside section 208 and have serious transgenerational impacts (see below).
