Reform of the Civil Procedure in England: fundamental premises and principles - possible inspiration for the new Czech Civil Procedure Code

Abstract

Reforms of British civil justice system from the turn of the millennia were analysed with respect to the civil procedure code that is being prepared in the Czech Republic. Ideas from Woolf and Jackson reforms were selected in order to present them to the legislator who can use them in the making of the new code.

The emphasis was placed on the wider socio-economical and technological context of the reforms of civil judiciary.
