Abstract
This paper deals with gradual transformation of the nature of Dalai Lama's visits of Prague. It covers various reactions of polititians, media and church to the presence of His Holiness and it compares historical contexts of Tibet and Czech Republic.
The text describes the original narrative about an exotic spiritual leader, warmly accepted by Czech president and other authorities, which has turned into a sort of political game full of mixed reactions; all this within less than three decades, as the important political and economic context of the issue became more and more publicly articulated.
