Abstrakt
More than thirty-five years have elapsed since the publication of the last detailed book on the coal-bearing basins and deposits of the Czech Republic. Now, its authors presesent a new and more concise discussion of these issues, while primarily drawing on the findings summarized in the latest publications by Dopita et al. and Pešek et al.
This book describes in detail all the Upper Palaeozoic and Tertiary basins of the Czech Republic. Occurences and coal mining, and the geology of the Cenomanian in Bohemia and Moravia are also briefly mentioned for the sake of completeness.
