Abstract
Workshop focused on introduction and practical use of NodeXL add-in for Microsoft Excel that support social network and content analysis. It is available freely and openly to all.
Students in groups has conducted their own network analysis featuring different aspect of visualisation (visualize your own network graph; choose from various layout algorithms; set the color, shape, size, label, and opacity of vertices and edges) and data organization (calculate overall network metrics - density/modularity; calculate basic vertex metrics - degree/indegree/outdegree; group vertices by cluster or attributes).
