2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - the global ambitious plan of the UN for meeting the Sustainable Development Goals - was adopted in 2015 and set new priorities of sustainable development for the next 15 years. The need for sustainable housing is embedded in this Agenda, in particular in the Goal 11 (SDG 11).
This paper deals with a concept of sustainable housing - it reviews its historical development and analyzes relations between the Geneva UN Charter on Sustainable Housing (despite it is not legally binding document) and current national and supranational strategic documents related to sustainable housing. The results allow to contemplate the Charter implementation in the Czech Republic.
