Alien Animal Species in the Light of European Union and Czech Law

Abstract

This article looks into the EU and Czech legal regulation of management of alien animal species. It deals with the legislation while relevant regulations and directives of the European Union and national legal regulation dealing with the issue are mentioned.

Particular attention is paid to Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 and Act No. 114/1992 Coll., on Nature and Landscape Protection, as amended, which are essential in this area
