Abstract

The article Reflections of the Massacre at Tlatelolco and the Subsequent Olympic Games in Mexico in the Czechoslovak Society deals with the relations between Czechoslovakia and Mexico in the turbulent year of 1968. Until now, both Czechoslovakian and Mexican historians have omitted this topic, they have not investigated it and have never responded satisfactorily if there were some political, cultural or social connections in the year 1968 between Czechoslovakia and Mexico.

The goal of the article based on the previously unpublished archival material is to assess what was the reflection of the massacre at Tlatelolco and the subsequent Olympic Games in Mexico in the Czechoslovak society.
