Information are all around us, but how to grab it and pass it to the pupils, to what extent and in what way it is up to each teacher. One possibility is to teach pupils to structure and operate their knowledge through organizers so that they can further develop and shape their knowledge in a clear way so that they can organize their ideas or respond to changes or solve problems.
This paper focuses on organizers and their use at primary and secondary schools in various subjects, most of all it focuses on concept and mind maps. It also reflects the demand of contemporary society and school towards the structuring and hierarchization of knowledge, resp. information and their use across subjects and disciplines.
