In its research and educational activities, the Faculty of Education pays a great attention to the development of field didactics. The paper presents a theoretical frame for field didactics development based primarily on the theory of transdisciplinary didactics (proposed by J.
Slavík, T. Janik, P.
Najvar and P. Knecht).
The aim is to present the current state of field didactics and their research and methodological results and to draw attention to the need to start to build a base for didactics of informatics and computing.
