At present, phonetic literacy of Czech pupils in the Russian language is formed rather randomly and the process is exclusively governed by the chosen textbook set. As there is no content framework in the Czech education system in which this process would take place, the article will be devoted to the question of creating a phonetic standard and the possibilities of its implementation in the educational curriculum.
The article will also introduce the requirements for mastering the phonological system of Russian at A1-C1 levels, which are formulated in binding documents intended for teaching Russian as a foreign language in the Russian Federation.
