The topic of euthanasia in the Czech Republic is still topical and highly debated. The text is written in an understandable form, it is a contribution to the national debate.
It is conceived formally simple form, follows the scheme usual in lectures on medical ethics (problem definition, arguments, legislation). The first chapter defines the terms.
The following is a brief historical excursion to bring facts about developments in post-war Euro-Atlantic civilization and especially about what is happening in Europe, since any good ethics necessarily begins with a neutral and accurate description of the issues and knowledge of medical and historical facts. Then chapters of descriptive ethics are attached.
