The diagnosis of erectile dysfunction will refine screening for type 2 diabetes

Abstract

Close relationship of erectile dysfunction (ED) and diabetes type 2 is known. ED is the most common sexological complication of diabetes.

Its prevalence in diabetics is 35 - 75%. ED in DM deserves attention as it may be the first manifestation of endothelial dysfunction or already systemic atherosclerosis including silent myocardial ischemia.
