Abstract

Two-days workshop discussing the transformations of Old Norse-Icelandic storytelling in the Middle Ages and early Modern Ages. Proposed methodology was that of memory studies.

For 4 speakers from Prague und 4 from Switzerland were explaining development of different genres and the common point were disscused also by students and researches present at the workshop. 14th century was shown as the time of emerging notion of the past and of the concept of Otherness.
