The Obstacle Course: Reflections on Access to The Labour Market by Migrant Workers

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2019

Abstract

The article compares diverse aspects of the local immigration laws and restrictions for non-EU immigrants to enter local labor markets, with particular focus on the CEE, Czech Republic and the UK. It proposes measures to increase the flexibility of the international labor migration, and simplify the applicable rules and processes with the aim of finding an improved balance between the desires of employers and international migrants, and reasonable interests of local workers.
