On 25 April - 27 April 2018, a traditional annual international conference was held at the Austrian Supreme Court (under the auspices of the European Center for Criminal Law and Insurance Law - ECTIL) on the evolution of European tort law in 2018. The conference consisted of two parts.
On the first conference day, when the international forum was chaired by Monika Hinteregger (professor of civil and international private law at UNI Graz) and Christiane Wendehorst (professor of civil law at UNI Wien), attention was paid to individual European states, legislative developments and tort law. Speakers briefly reported on the state and recent development of their country's delict legislation, always focusing on interesting (especially non-traditional, controversial) cases from judicial practice.
