Abstract
The main objective of the specialized map is to illustrate the development of kindergartens capacities and the increase in the number of children aged 3-5 in the period 2007-2017, as well as assessing the differentiation of kindergartens placement and capacity in different parts of Central Bohemia. The map is specifically designed to allow comparison with the situation in 2007 and the development of the number of children since 1997, as illustrated by the map of Puldová and Ouředníček (2011) in the Atlas of Socio-spatial Differentiation of the Czech Republic.
The detail of the municipalities was also chosen to maintain the integrity of the entire map series. The map shows the increase in the number of children aged 3-5 years in the years 2007-2017.
The diagram shows the capacity of kindergartens in municipalities in 2017 and the number of children aged 3-5 years per 100 places in kindergartens in 2017.
