The workshop was in its first part dedicated to reading selected passages from Abū l-Ḥasan al-Ṣūrī's Arabic treatise on the qibla (location of sanctuary, the chosen place, etc.) and its Jewish (Qaraite) refutation as well as extracts from a Samaritan summary of AḤṢ treatise. The reading focused on ms.
BL Or. 2523, fols. 9v-17r and ms. RNL Yevr.-Arab.
I 1681, fols. 72r-73r. In the second part of the workshop the participants read selected sections from the travelogue Riḥlat Ilyās Ġaḍbān.
